Family Reunion and Kaitlyn's new look!

John's family had a Tuckett family reunion last weeked. Jeff and Leslee have the perfect party house complete with a swimming pool, zip line, volleyball net, playground, fire pit...I could keep going, but you get the idea! We had a great time playing and catching up with all of John's cousins.

Cute Avonlea!

Kaitlyn's new look!

Kaitlyn got braces last week and has impressed us with how responsible she has been with brushing and taking care of her retainer. She thought it was pretty cool to go to school and show off her new look!

Weekend Getaway

I'm not sure what happened first...John planning a family trip to St. George and then inviting his friends to come golfing, or John planning a golf trip with the boys and then inviting the family to tag along, but somehow we all ended up in St. George for the weekend. The girls had a great time shopping and swimming while the boys played golf in 107 degree weather. I have to admit, having Kurt and Jared around to entertain the girls was a bonus!

Laying out by the pool

The girls were really brave and jumped from the hot tub into the pool

Alpine Days Rodeo

The girls have been asking to go to a rodeo for the past couple of weeks, so when John's parents called and told us that it was Alpine Days and they were having a rodeo, we had to go! The girls loved the rodeo last night, but this morning, Kensie woke up and told us she was sad because the animals were mad and they didn't like people riding on them like that. She is such a softie and quite the animal lover! Thanks Brent and Sharyn for a fun night!

Back to School!

The girls started school last week and they are both loving it! Kaitlyn has several friends from our neighborhood in her class and is quite the social butterfly. She also thinks that it is pretty cool to have a "boy teacher." Kensie sits on the front row...the perfect seat for her! Her teacher has already had to move the boy that sat next to her because they had "a crush on each other" and talked too much! Socially, they are doing great, hopefully they will also learn something this year!
