Summer Fun
First Day of School
Kensie...First Day of 3rd Grade!

Kaitlyn...First Day of 4th Grade!

The girls with Blake...still waking up:)

I wish this was a traditional "look how cute my kids are on the first day of school" post, however, there is a funny story to go with it...The morning went smoothly, no Kensie hiding under the covers saying she didn't want to wake up (an everyday ritual), no fighting about having their hair done, nothing! I had planned on walking the girls to school, but after taking pictures we were running a few minutes late, so I drove them to school. I thought it was a little odd that there weren't any kids walking to school, but most of our neighborhood is on D track and they don't start for a few more weeks, so I didn't think much of it. Well, we got to the school and it was quiet, no kids outside, no buses dropping kids off and the girls said, "Hey, we're the first ones here." My heart sank because I knew that wasn't the truth. Apparently schools starts at 8:25 this year, not 8:50 like it did last year. Yep, my kids were 30 minutes late for their first day of school! I'm awesome!
