4th of July

I know August is almost over and I'm just blogging about the 4th of July, but better late than never!
My family has been doing the same thing over the 4th of July holiday for as long as I can remember. I love the traditions, but John wishes we would shake things up a little bit and do something different...however, my family won for another year:)
We started the 4th of July weekend off at the Oakley Rodeo. Definitely one of my favorite activities of the year. I love the Rodeo!

Cowboy Up!

Stealing "Papa's" snowcone was the highlight of the rodeo for Blake

Cute little cowgirls!

Jeana and Rem

After the rodeo we headed up to Huntsville. Our family has a cabin there that my great grandparents built many years ago. I love the small town feel, although the parade seems to get bigger and better every year (ok, maybe just bigger, but I love it and I hope my kids love it as much as I do!)

These 2 trouble makers have their "papa" wrapped around their fingers!

Baby Bostyn made her parade debut

Monday night we went to my parents and lit fireworks...another favorite of mine. I love the big firework shows, but it is so fun to watch the kids write their names with sparklers and see the fireworks up close. The girls even got to help light a few which they thought was pretty cool

I was worried that Blake might not like the fireworks, but he LOVED them. He would say "wo" during the fireworks and then he would clap and say "Yay" after every one!

Planning on doing a repeat next year, unless my husband gets his way (Good luck with that babe;)
